EPIC Book Discussion Series Continues at Rajarshi Janak University

The Economic Progress and Innovation Center (EPIC) successfully organized another session of its Book Discussion Series at Rajarshi Janak University, University Campus, Janakpurdham. This edition featured Aarthik Asamanta by Eamonn Butler, bringing together students for an engaging discussion on one of the most important economic issues of our time.

The session explored the concept of economic inequality, examining its causes, consequences, and the different perspectives surrounding it. Participants discussed how inequality affects individuals, communities, and economic development, while also considering the role of entrepreneurship, economic freedom, innovation, and sound public policy in expanding opportunities and improving living standards.

The discussion encouraged students to critically analyze the arguments presented in the book and connect them with the economic realities of Nepal and Madhesh. Through an open and interactive dialogue, participants exchanged ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and reflected on how policies that support entrepreneurship, competitive markets, and individual opportunity can contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic progress.

The session also emphasized the importance of reading and discussing books that challenge conventional thinking and encourage evidence-based conversations. By engaging with diverse viewpoints, students gained a deeper understanding of complex economic issues and strengthened their ability to think critically about public policy and development.

Through its Book Discussion Series, EPIC continues to foster a culture of reading, intellectual curiosity, and informed dialogue among students and young professionals. The initiative serves as a platform for exploring important ideas that shape society while encouraging participants to engage in meaningful conversations beyond the classroom.

EPIC extends its sincere appreciation to the students who actively participated in the discussion and to Rajarshi Janak University, University Campus, Janakpurdham, for its support in making the session a success. EPIC remains committed to creating opportunities for learning, discussion, and the exchange of ideas that inspire future leaders and contribute to a more informed and prosperous society.
